Mango and Coconut united with their new parents

Yesterday, Sherry delivered the last of 2 of the office kittens to their new parents. They are overjoyed with their new babies and thank everyone involved for their help with this rescue.

They just posted this yesterday and i’m sure we’ll get pictures and updates soon!

We’re home with our new little bundles of joy and fun. I’ll post some pics later but they are a blast and even though we just have them in the kitchen for now, they think it’s HUGE.

Mango already used the potty, we’re waiting for Coconut to go now. They love all their new toys. Coconut purrs like you wouldn’t believe.

It’s been 1 month waiting for them and it was definitely worth the wait. I can’t thank you both enough for helping us get our new little Aruban furbabies.

Mango and Coconut are leaving today for the DC area and then will go to their new home in NJ! Melissa and her husband have been anxiously awaiting their new ‘arrivals’. They have set up toys and everything they need for them to live a very happy life.

So happy days for Aruban Kitten rescue! Many thanks to Yessy, Sherry, Michel and Mark of the Cafe Capri for
making this all possible. Thank you to everyone who has brought down supplies to make these flights
possible.

We have been promised pictures and an update when they arrive and will share their ‘adventures’ when we get them.

2 Office kittens and 2 ‘friends’ going to Del Moines!

The two office kitten girls and 2 other kittens who were just ‘turned into the vet’ are leaving tomorrow for Del Moines, IA. We have 2 happy families anxiously awaiting their new bundles of joy.

The other 2 office cats are heading out next week. And the black one has been adopted by
a local lady who just lost her beloved cat.

So happy days for Aruban Kitten rescue! Many thanks to Yessy, Michel and Mark of the Cafe Capri for
making this all possible. Thank you to everyone who has brought down supplies to make these flights
possible.

Balashi’s story

A great family staying at the ABC fell in love with a cat they named “Balashi”. Their 11 year old son is completely head over heels in love with him and asked him mom if he could use his ‘Aruba money’ to take him home. Only problem is that they are flying Spirit airlines which is the only airline that does not allow pets at all (including service animals). We put the word out that we were looking for someone to bring Balashi back to NJ and his new family. A wonderful lady, Deb, got in touch with us and she brought Balashi back to his new home after he spent a week in boarding. What a wonderful story. Balashi has totally made himself comfortable in his new home and is getting lots of pats and love!

I will put pictures up as soon as I can because there are quite a few of them and it’s not as easy as facebook to put up pictures!

Here is mom and kittens who were found in an office. We are looking for homes for mom and kittens. We are working on what their age is and figure 3 weeks – but are waiting for the vet to tell us. They are now at the Conteras vet in Noord for safe keeping. If you are interested in adopting anyone, please contact us at info@arubakitten.org. We have been in contact with a very nice business owner who moved into a new place to find a mom with 5 kittens living there. They will be moved to Conteras vet for a few weeks until the kittens are ready for adoption. As you can see in the picture, Mom found a really good hiding place for them. If you are inter…ested in adopting one of these babies or mom, please contact me for details. Also a special thank you to Yessy for going and picking them up for us! Yessy has been such a godsend!

Oscar is now Canadian!

Oscar has made it to Canada! He was so good on the plane that Sue was amazed. It seems that all our cats know that they are going to a good place and are on their best behavior on the plane. Here is a picture of Sue, Oscar and Yessy from the vet. It seems that Oscar was quite the charmer and had stolen a few hearts while at the hotel! Sue is so happy with Oscar and he’s a very good boy. Thanks to everyone involved!

Hotel Cat Rescue and Orphan Rescue will continue on!!!

Aruba Kitten Rescue is proud to announce that we have made arrangements to continue our hotel cat rescue program. Carriers and harnesses can be dropped off and picked up at Veterinaire Kliniek Noord which is past the light in Noord and at Contreras Veterinary Services which is very close to the hotels too. The vets will also assist with doing the checkup and issuing the paperwork needed. All proceeds will go to spaying and neutering cats of Aruba which is sorely needed. We are also continuing our orphan kitten program by supplying KMR (kitten milk replacement) and bottles at the vets for fostering kittens who are not of the age of eating food yet.

We are in desperate need of the following:
- Carriers (soft)
- Small harnesses and leashes

Eric De Cuba and the Contreras’ family have been wonderful these past years assisting us with our adoptions and we are so glad that both vets has agreed to continue this wonderful program. We would like to also thank Kiki from FCA for helping us out with our efforts too!
